African Safaris Safer with Trip Cancellation Coverage

Going on an African safari can be a wild experience! But merely booking a safari does not guarantee that you will actually be on one as planned, and most safari operators insist that you purchase insurance, including trip cancellation insurance, to tide over the uncertainties inherent in safaris.

There are other types of insurance you will need when preparing for an African safari. These include international medical insurance, in addition to the trip cancellation insurance. Safari operators may extend coverage when a trip is booked, but it is important to check that their coverage is adequate and costs are reasonable.

Generally, trip cancellation insurance offers other benefits such as baggage safety against loss or theft, in addition to safari cancellation and rescheduling. Baggage safety remains a major problem at African airports.

Safaris can/could be cancelled due to the weather, the lack of enough participants for the safari, or baggage problems. Baggage delay is another reason your safari can be postponed, so it’s not difficult to see why you need trip cancellation insurance.

Usual and necessary medical coverage includes coverage for all sudden medical issues. Emergency medical evacuation and repatriation of mortal remains are also usually included. Usually, trip cancellation insurance can be bundled together with travel medical insurance. Shop around for plans until you receive a suitable trip cancellation and medical insurance plan that works for an African safari.

Trip cancellation insurance usually covers those costs related to travel that are not refunded. These may include hotel reservations, airfare, and other tickets purchased. To make a successful claim, the trip cancellation insurance company will require you to display proof that you have indeed lost that money—with the help of receipts and proof of the actual reservation.

In the case of the medical evacuation insurance clause in an African safari, one of the things to remember is that many of the areas of the safari are not reachable by phone. This might render impossible pre-approval or contacting the plan administrator to organize the evacuation. It’s important that you square aspect before you purchase travel insurance and trip cancellation insurance.

To get the best deals, you must purchase your travel cancellation insurance no later than a week from buying your tickets. Carefully check the plan you have chosen—it might feature the one-week purchase limit as a prerequisite for coverage, or as a prerequisite for extra benefits.

Why would you move to Australia, if you never visited it before?

Now Australia is beginning to reform it’s skilled persons model, and accepting in some new professions, ones that will actually contribute to the nations economy. People like doctors and IT specialists are being invited in. However this is also the country that was on a shortage of “hairdressers and cooks”.

A country that is in desperate need of hairdressers and cooking skills has something else to worry about, probably their sanity? There were more than ten thousand applicants for these jobs, mainly from students living outside of Australia. Now they have removed them from the list of occupational skills and will not be accepting any more people from even educational background.

However this is straying off the point a little, I have never heard of anyone taking a leap of faith and moving to a country that they have never visited before! However I suppose, if things are getting bad at home and you have the choice to make a last minute decision, you might just do that. One person has decided to try this out, and it doesn’t seem to be going that well.

A doctor that was once living in the UK, decided it was best to move out after his divorce. Moving across the world to a place that he had never seen before, was apparently a good idea in his books! Well no, things didn’t really work out. Even though this doctor did not miss his wife all that much, in fact not at all, Australia was probably the worst place he had been in a while. It turns out that our doctor does not like the extreme hot weathered countries of the world, and Australia just had their hottest summer on record.

It is probably not the best idea to leave your last job on a bad and out of tune note, in fact this would really cause things to go really bad, returning wouldn’t be much of an option. He is still in Australia, stuck where he arrived, attempting to change his current destination, but not to come back to the UK. Oh dear, maybe before he travelled away he should have tried Australia holidays or maybe he should have just taken a day trip on Sydney holidays!
